8.2. Search of malfunctions - the general information
At failure detection of AT first of all check the ATF level (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance of the car). If level is insufficient, check a condition of the corresponding epiploons. Attentively examine all hoses of a path of ATF, and also its cooler and make sure of lack of signs of development of leaks. Check/replacement of information sensors of a control system of AT can be executed by forces of the owner of the vehicle, - before starting replacement of the suspected sensor, carry out a survey of memory of the control unit, - all a little essential refusals are registered in memory of the module in the form of the DTC codes, and in especially serious cases of AT automatically switches to emergency operation of functioning. Reading of the DTC codes is made by means of the special diagnostic equipment connected to the socket of system of onboard self-diagnostics (DLC No. 3) (see the Head Sistemy of electric equipment of the engine). In the absence of access to necessary devices will be to try to define the refusal nature at least qualitatively enough (at the level: electric/mechanical) for the purpose of simplification of communication with specialists of car service. It is not necessary to start removal of AT as its diagnostics is represented possible only in the established situation prematurely.
